Headstrong sparked serious conversation and engagement around mental health, something incredibly difficult for a Gen Z audience. To connect with our young audience, we worked with some of the UK’s most popular young influencers, who were willing to be super open and honest, and this tone has helped the films become so successful. Influencers like online comedy sensation Munya Chuwawa, body positivity advocate Megan Crabbe, Hollyoaks Actress and activist Talia Grant, TikTok star Victor Kunda, Ki Griffin - the first media representation of a Non-Binary person on British TV and finally Glow Up star Xavier-Guillaume Singh.
The films were made to feel authentic to the influencer, so we shot them just as they would their own videos and used graphics to help highlight key take-home messages just like they would on TikTok or Instagram.
Posted on C4’s and E4’s social platforms, the films had 2.18M minutes viewed, 3.2M Snap Story views and 11x more shares than their average post.
